Job responsibilities
- Develop digital infrastructure and work on automated code to improve efficiency, reduce risk and be highly available on AWS
- Configure and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure defined as code
- Build and maintain operational tools for deployment, monitoring, and analysis of AWS infrastructure and systems
- Administer and troubleshoot Linux based systems
- Work with development teams on the building of websites, and applications
- Conduct analyses, and feed this data back to relevant teams to support their efforts
- Resolve issues and problems with systems and software, and ensure these issues do not reoccur
- Work with planning departments to get software and systems up and run in a timely manner, and ensure long-term scalability for the business
Required qualifications
- 1+ years of experience building and maintaining AWS infrastructure (VPC, EC2, Security Groups, IAM, ECS, EKS, Cloudformation, CloudFront, S3, RDS)
- Strong understanding of how to secure AWS environments and meet compliance requirements
- Experience in deploying and managing infrastructure with Terraform, Ansible
- Significant experience with Windows and Linux operating system environments
- Experience administering and deploying development CI/CD tools such as Git, Jira, GitLab, or Jenkins
- Experience with k8s, Docker, ELK, datadog, Mongo DB, Redis
- Experience with infrastructure scripting solutions such as BASH or Python
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
